An Open Letter to Flying Lotus

Unfortunately I couldn’t fit this in a reply tweet so here goes. 

I’m a young beatmaker out of LA. I work a 10-12 hr/day job with just enough to pay rent, bills and food. I’ve been able to make beats up until now using an xbox 360 keyboard for Garage Band 3 I got for Christmas and a tascam US-122 I bought nearly 8 years ago 2nd hand from ebay.

I was lucky enough to be shown your music by Project Blowdian @Fivestacks, an incredibly talented individual I’m glad to call my friend and partner in crime. I dream to be able to produce beats a fraction as talented as the likes of you or @darealdibiase or madlibs. Though I’ve been trying my best to save for a 404 or something similar, there’s always some financial emergency that takes my savings and then I’m back to square one. It’s frustrating by I keep going in the hopes I can some day play shows with my man @Fivestacks at Low End Theory. Small dream maybe but it’s the thing i’m most shooting for now. To be able to get an MPD32 would be a huge help in making that dream come true.
